Who would have thought that simple stones could produce such vibrant colors? Yet they do. Alas! a whole new way of looking at stones.

Prayer Art by Reverend Bola

Picture
'Weight Loss' - Rev Bola (2008)
This was inspired in answer to prayers for a beautiful healthy body and weight loss. Many of us worry how many 'stones' we weigh. Weight and mass can dissolve into light or 'lightness' so to say. Solid weight is in-fact  illusionary, in that if we look more closely at the mass, we can see very fine particles of light, as in the beauty and elegance of diamonds and crystals.

'Simple Joy' - Suma Ching Hai (1990)
For many people the color green symbolizes natural prosperity, well being and vitality. A lot of nature around us is green. In this painting there is a real sense of allowing the various elements (as in the fresh air depicted in the picture) of one's life to breeze and flow through without resistance. This is the true state of joy gained when we become enlightened. -- Rev. Bola

'Greener On Other Side' -  Rev. Bola (2009)
The beauty of the earth's natural world is plain for all to see.
Yet even as beautiful as she is, there is nothing on earth that can compare to the beauty of the heavenly realms awaiting those who become enlightenment. --Rev Bola

'Longing' - by Suma Ching Hai

Picture
Longing -
A strong persistent yearning or desire, especially one that cannot be fulfilled.
But when one becomes fully enlightened, all longings cease, and are replaced with utter fulfillment and satisfaction.

'Sailing Home' -
We all seem to be on some sort of journey in life. We each have a destination in our hearts , where we want to arrive. Deep down we all know that 'Awakening' is our true destination or shall I call it destiny. When we are fully awakened....we have arrived home.
The bible parable of theprodigals son from the Book of Luke, depicts this sentiment in the nature of humankind, succinctly.

'RESCUED' by Master Ching Hai

Picture

Oh....but to be freed, and delivered from confinement, violence, danger, and all evil, completely and permanently. Is this not what so many of us sentient beings aspire to? Do we indeed not wish to be rescued from needless and  continuous suffering?  Not only is this a worthwhile goal, but actually attainable for all who choose it. This is not mere wishful thinking, but a firm objective reality for those who attain enlightenment.  Will we allow ourselves to be liberated from all suffering? How willing are we now, to be rescued? God's love for us is infinite. We can see this in the way that He has continued to provide us with His prophets, teachers, healers, counselors, guides, angels. A constant reminder of His love for us. Would it not be a good idea then if we were to embrace that love, and completely allow His love to embrace us? It makes sense to be best friends with God.

'He Will Do It' by Rev. Bola

Picture
We are told in the scriptures, that Christ lived and died that we may have life and have it more abundantly. He lived  and died for all of us, that we may have eternal life. And what is eternal life? It is a life without undue suffering and pain. A life consumed with love and utter bliss. A life free of worry, sadness, fear, hatred, envy and turmoil. That is the nature of His love. This is the very nature of His Love. His Love heals all wounds. God's love brings everlasting joy, happiness and peace of mind. When we surrender to Him, He will deliver. He has promised this, and will never break His word. We can have steadfast faith that God will do nothing but the very best for us in every situation. The bible says that whatsoever things we desire in accordance with God's will, we should ask, knowing that our prayers will be answered. What is it that you most need? Stop now, and humbly ask His help. The Lord will do it.
